What does a UV system do that RO doesn't?+

Yes — UV is the most widely used disinfection technology in pharma, F&B and municipal water worldwide. It leaves no taste, smell or by-product.
Choosing the right system
What UV dose do I need?+
30 mJ/cm² is the WHO/USEPA standard for drinking water. We always size for this dose at end-of-lamp-life so performance never drops below spec.
Stainless steel vs plastic UV chambers?+
Always stainless steel (SS304/316) for any commercial or whole-house application — plastic chambers degrade under UV and are only acceptable inside under-sink units.
Installation, space & cost
Where in the line should UV be installed?+
Always the last stage — after sand, carbon, softener and RO — and as close to the dispensing point as possible to minimise post-UV contamination.
Maintenance & longevity
How often does the UV lamp need changing?+
Every 9,000 hours of operation (roughly once a year). Quartz sleeve is cleaned every quarter to maintain UV transmittance.
